ICT Quiz Competition

As part of SLIIT Codefest, ICT Quiz Competition is an effort to empower the secondary school student’s ICT knowledge to a next level. The competition consists of three rounds and the top 8 teams will be selected for the final round on stage. The winners will receive valuable cash prices and trophy plagues based on decisions made by a panel of judges.

Team Size: Three members (3)

The competition is open for secondary school students from Grade 10 – Grade 13.
Each school must finalize ONE team of THREE members at the initial level of the competition.

Technologies/ Syllabus:
Information and Communication Technology Advanced Level syllabus.
Information and Communication Technology general knowledge.

Rules and Regulations:

  • ONE Team is allowed to participate from one school.
  • A Team can have maximum THREE members.
  • Teams can discuss with themselves when answering questions.
  • A winner and two runners-up team will be chosen by a panel of judges.
  • The judges’ decision is final.
  • The teacher-in-charge will be informed if the team is selected for round 2 and round 3.

Registration Period: Registrations are now opened! Deadline will be on 1st October 2020

Number of Rounds : The competition will be held in three rounds: Initial (round 1), Second (round 2) and Final (round 3).
Round 1: All registered Teams will be eligible
Round 2: Team must score more than 75% to move to round 2
Round 3: Top 8 teams will be selected from round 2

Selection process  All schools with one team registered is selected
Evaluation criteria  Online Quiz (30 minutes, 20 questions)
Special requirements (Optional) Necessary facilities and equipment should be available to participate in the test conducted through online.
Second Round Date  5th of November, 2020
Problem definition Understanding in ICT and ICT General Knowledge
Selection process Teams who score more than 75% will be selected to second round
Evaluation criteria  Online Quiz (30 minutes, 30 questions)
Special requirements (Optional)  Quiz is conducted on Campus
Final Round Date 6th of November, 2020
Problem definition  Understanding in ICT and ICT general knowledge
Selection process 8 Teams who score highest will be selected for the final round
Evaluation criteria Quiz (Face–to- face)
Special requirements (Optional) Quiz is conducted on Campus (On stage)
